Ihplus Cell Banking : Planning for a Healthier Future
If you have a cancer diagnosis then you are relying on a compromised immune cell population for cell therapy. The efficacy of your immune system decreases with age. This is called immunoscenescence. Hence it makes good sense to preserve your own immune cells before onset of potential disease, and as early in life as you can.
We can perform an analysis of your immune health (Immune Activity Test) to determine if you have a healthy immune system which can be cryo-preserved for use at a time you really need it. If you show to have an unhealthy immune system we can perform some treatments to improve the immune cell activity & health prior to cryo-preservation.
Save Yours or Your Child Healthy Immune System for a Time They Need It!
You can use your stem cells in the future for cell therapy, an established ‘anti-cancer’ and ‘anti-virus’ treatment.
We are now also seeing a large number of Age related medical conditions are very strongly connected to an under-functioning immune system. Being able to top up your immune system with younger, healthy and fully active immune cells, we believe is real anti-ageing.
By the time we reach the end of our teenage life, our bodies immune system is usually fully mature and at its optimum. However, as you get older your immune system starts to deplete in effectiveness and there is an increase in vulnerability to age related illness and/or can become deficient due to viral illnesses or disease such as cancer.
A significant body of science has proven that by collecting cells when they are healthy, they can be stored for long periods of time and in the event of illness returned to a patient to help re-boost the immune system and fight disease ( known as Adoptive Immunotherapy).
This form of treatment can be used to treat a wide variety of cancers including lung, skin, prostate, brain, kidney, liver and pancreas, as well as leukaemia’s and chronic viral infections such as HIV/AIDS.
Equally they can be used in the elderly to boost their immune system and prevent advanced ageing.
How is it collected: A sample of healthy blood is collected, just like the normal blood donor system that operates around the world. Your collection is processed and the cells which provide your immune defence system (the white bloods cells) are extracted and separated into a number of different samples. These are cryogenically preserved (deep frozen) at minus 196 degrees and then stored in liquid nitrogen vapour freezers, which are secured and alarmed for safety purposes.
Once our customers confirm to proceed with Immune cell banking we will book an appointment at one of our medical centres. One of our registered nurse’s will collect the desired blood volume along with blood for your transmissible disease safety tests.
The blood is then transferred to our ISO class cleanroom, and your immune cells are isolated from your blood sample within 24 hours. A small portion of your cells are then tested in our Lab, confirming the purity and number of immune cells isolated.
Your isolated immune cells are then carefully step frozen at a controlled rate of temperature reduction. These steps are very important to ensure cell survival during the freezing process. We use animal protein-free freezing media in our cryobank.
